Welspun ranked largest global home textiles supplier

Refocusing on core competencies helped Welspun report higher volumes, improved margins

Moving up from second position last year, Welspun India Ltd (WIL) was ranked first in the Top 15 Supplier Giants (USA) by Home Textiles Today in a recently concluded survey based on its 2012 sales figures.  

As per the survey,  refocusing on core competencies helped Welspun report higher volumes and has improved margins in terry towels, towels and rugs.

"Welspun has shown significant growth over the years and has been able to reach the top position this year. This is a significant achievement as US is one of the biggest and most competitive markets. This position reinforces our focus on growth, innovation and customer delight," Dipali Goenka, Managing Director, Welspun Global Brands Ltd said in an official communique.

 

The exclusive survey of the top home textile suppliers, includes all home textiles categories, bed, bath, kitchen, table linen, window coverings, including alternative window coverings, custom decorating and accessories that are generally sold with textile items, are included in the sales estimates.
