Baijayant to speak at Taiwan varsity

The topic of his lecture will be ?India?s Emerging role in Geo-politics?

Senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and the party’s Lok Sabha MP from Kendrapara constituency Baijayant Panda will leave for Taiwan as a special invitee under the ‘Distinguished Visitors Programme’ of India-Taipei Association (ITA). The association has organized a lecture by Panda, at the National Hsing Hua University in Hsinchu during his visit to Taiwan. The topic of his lecture will be ‘India’s Emerging role in Geo-politics’.

Since the onset of the 21st century, the epicentre of international politics has been gradually shifting towards Asia, especially India. With a stable democratic system in place, its economic prowess and large base of skilled human capital, India is expected to play a greater role in shaping the new world order. The ITA was established in 1995 to safeguard and promote India’s interests and to provide full-scale consular services, promote bilateral education, cultural, economic and commercial relations. Under the ‘Distinguished Visitors Programme’, ITA organises meetings with Taiwanese leadership, interaction with local business leaders, public lectures centered on developments in India, seminar interactions with regional security experts and visits to cultural sites.
