Civic body to earn Rs 219 cr

Trying to put a lid on the controversy over the construction of Mysore's prestigious shopping-cum-entertainment centre at Makkaji Chowk, Mysore City Corporation (MCC) mayor Bharati and commissioner A B Ibrahim on Tuesday said the project, when completed in 18 months, would fetch an estimated Rs 219 crore revenue over a lease period of 40 years.

The two-storey complex on the 4.19 acre will add 3.40 lakh additional commercial space in the 'most happening retail hub of Mysore city'.
