Defunct irrigation facilities in MP given to private partners

State government today decided to hand over few defunct irrigation facilities like lift irrigation system and tube-wells to private partners.

The state government has yet not spelled the model of this programme but a government official said, “Government owned lift irrigation and tubewell which are out of order will be handed over to private partners on lease for a period of ten years.

A detailed programme will be charted out and the private partnership programme will be held on 15 February this year.”
