Ecgc Links Premium To Bank Claims

Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd (ECGC) has introduced differential premium structure ranging form 7 paise to 10 paise per Rs 100 for banks depending on their claim ratio for pre-shipment insurance.
The government of India will also be infusing close to Rs 400 crore in the next four years in ECGC, thus enhancing its share capital to Rs 440 crore against authorised share capital of Rs 1,000 crore. The institution provides guarantee to banks for loans extended to exporters and is government-promoted.
