ED orders attachment of Koda assets

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a provisional order to attach assets and properties worth crores belonged to former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda and his associates Binod Sinha, Sanjay Choudhary, Sunil Kumar Sinha and Vikash Sinha.

All five were accused in money laundering scam worth over Rs 2,000 crore.

They have 44 properties in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Kolkata and Mumbai.

The attachment order of the ED has been sent to the district sub-registrars, bank authorities and other concerned authorities to take immediate steps in stalling of any such dealings and also to prevent any such future attempts.

The copy of the order was also sent to Koda and his associates.District sub-registrar Ramakant Tiwari told media that they had been asked by the ED to stall any dealings and registry involving some properties.The voluminous order of the ED in the form of a booklet, runs into about 200 pages
