Girl student totured by her hostel warden

Tagore’s educational institute in Santiniketan was in turmoil on Monday over the incident in which a class five girl student was allegedly made to drink her urine on Saturday last as a punishment for bedwetting.

The warden of the hostel of Patha Bhavana, the school under Visva Bharati was arrested on Monday after the parents lodged a complaint with the police. She was later released on bail.

However, in a twist of event the police also arrested the parents of the girl student. Later they were also granted bail by the Bolpur sub divisional court.
