J&K plans to purchase ITDC hotels

| The Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to purchase hotels owned by Indian Tourism Development Corporation in order to create infrastructure for the tourists visiting the Kashmir Valley. |
| "In order to have well-prepared infrastructure for meeting the requirements of tourists arriving from across the globe in this summer season, the government is planning to buy two ITDC hotels in the Kashmir Valley," a top official source told PTI. |
| The Centaur Hotel, located on the banks of world-famous Dal Lake, and another hotel at the world-famous health and ski resort Gulmarg, are on the list of the government for purchase, the sources said. |
| As nearly 800,000 tourists are expected to visit the Kashmir Valley this summer, there was a need to have more hotels, they said, adding most of the hotels are now occupied by government officials and security people. |
