Logistics council plans national meet

Asian Council of Logistics Management (ACLM) is organising its fourth national convention "Logistics tomorrow""players, platforms and processes" in the city.
 
ACLM was expecting around 120 delegates from the corporate world logistics service providers, multimodal transport organisations, freight forwarders, AAI, various airlines and port trust and railways to attend the convention.
 
Key speakers would include Asok Mookerjee (chairman""Indo-Canadian Business Chambers), A K Chandra (chairman of Kolkata Port Trust), P K Bisnoi (managing director of Balmer Lawrie) and Ranjan Ghosh, professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
 
The convention would highlight the implementations of effective logistics and supply chain management aiming at customer satisfaction and right sizing cost.
 
Bhaskar Chaudhuri, vice president ACLM said, the convention would bring about awareness about logistics by doing away with the misconceptions.
