Only NDA can provide special status to Bihar: BJP

The BJP today sought to read the statement of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in its favour by hinting that as the two parties were in alliance in the state, NDA government at the Centre was more likely to provide special package to Bihar.      

"Nitish Kumar is a seasoned politician. Whatever he has said is right. He knows that only the NDA can provide Bihar with such a package," BJP President Rajnath Singh told reporters here.      

He said only a couple of days ago Kumar had clarified that JD(U) was with the NDA and would remain with it.      

JD(U) and BJP are partners in the ruling alliance in Bihar.
