Pawar & #8217;S Letter Ignites Row Over Sugar Package

The Rs 600 crore central package for sugarcane farmers of Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Haryana has triggered a political controversy with Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar demanding its extension to Maharashtra and other states.

The package has provoked adverse political reactions in many sugarcane growing states.
