US to make India regional aviation hub

The US will work with the Indian government and the domestic private sector to make the country an aviation hub, said US Ambassador to India Timothy J Roemer.

“The US will work with the Indian public and private sector partners to create economic opportunities and jobs in both the countries,” Roemer said at India Aviation 2010 here on Wednesday, adding the US-India Aviation Programme, a public-private initiative, would work together with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on helicopter aviation security.
