YSR promises scheme for entrepreneurs

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has said that the state government would come out with an innovative scheme to handhold budding entrepreneurs. Reddy was speaking at the inaugural function of TiE-ISB Connect 2006 at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad.
 
He also invited entrepreneurs to set up ventures in Andhra Pradesh, promising them of good infrastructure and supportive bureaucracy.
 
B Ramalinga Raju, founder-chairman of Satyam Computer Services Limited said that he expected other sectors to exhibit the same dynamism and growth as information technology (IT) in India.
 
"Opportunities in India are not limited to IT alone," he added.
 
Meanwhile, M Rammohan Rao, dean of ISB, said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be flagging off the celebrations for ISB on completion of five years in December. The Global Logistics Summit would also take off at the same time.
 
The TiE-ISB Connect is an annual networking event for entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders.
 
The next year's event is expected to be in October.
