YSR to launch campaign on welfare schemes

| Chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy will launch an aggressive awareness campaign between October 7 and 29 on the development and welfare programmes being undertaken by his government. |
| He interacted with senior officials on Monday to discuss the draft blueprint on the 'development and people's participation' comprising the region-wise details of development programmes undertaken in the last 27 years as compared with the development in the last 50 years. |
| The state government has already prepared a comprehensive blueprint on the all-round development of the Telangana region. |
| The blueprint includes conducting awareness camps up to the village-level, organising exhibitions and camps, distribution of literature in the form of handbills, audio-visual cassettes and video campaigns. Similar blueprints on the development of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema will be prepared soon. |
| "Once we are ready with our region-wise blueprints, it is for you to take them to the people," thetold all the key departments, including information and public relations. |
| The chief minister said that he had already obtained a comprehensive feedback on the implementation of the government programmes and schemes such as Jalayagnam, Indiramma, power supply and Indira Prabha. |
| "I will interact with the people and local public representatives to personally understand the problems and progress in the implementation of various programmes," he said. |
