HDFC Life to triple business in K'taka

BS Reporter Chennai/ Mysore
HDFC Standard Life has recorded a strong year-on-year performance in Karnataka for the year January-December 2006, compared with 2005.

"The growth achieved by the company is impressive," said regional manager Vikram Khanna.

"Now HDFC Standard Life is planning to triple its business in the state. To achieve this, we are expanding our branch network from 15 to 29. It translates into direct job creation of 200 in sales, training and customer service and indirect job creation of around 5,000," he said in Mysore on the eve of a job fair to recruit candidates for the company.

Khanna said, "Our banc-assurance channel partners, HDFC Bank, Indian Bank and Union Bank of India have also significantly increased their business in Karnataka. All our alternative channel partners have helped reach out wide range of customers across Karnataka."

"Our key to achieving success in bank-assurance is our belief in a partnership approach, customised product offering, highly ethical dealings and providing good value to our partners and their customers," he added.
