New norms for faulty ATM reimbursements

RBI has issued fresh directions to banks to streamline procedures for reimbursements to customers in case of faulty ATM transactions.
According to the new directions, it is mandatory for the banks to reimburse customers, the amount wrongfully debited on account of failed ATM transactions, within 12 working days from the date of receipt of the customer complaint.
