Psb Profitability Trend Maintained

Public sector banks have sustained their trend of improving core profitability in 2002-03.

These banks have also continued to maintain their overall profitability growth trend as well, said a report by rating agency Crisil.

The agency added that a significant contributor to overall profitability has been treasury income, which was fuelled by the steady decline in interest rates and the consequent profits on sale of investments.
