RBI appoints Mohanty as head of policy, statistics dept

The Reserve Bank today said it has appointed Deepak Mohanty as the head of its economic policy, statistics and information department.

Mohanty has been given charge of Department of Economic Analysis and Policy (DEAP) and Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM), the apex bank said in a statement today.

Mohanty's appointment will be effective from October 13, the statement added.
