The spot rupee opened at 44.79/80 per dollar, but closed at a three-month low of 45.19/20 per dollar following buying by banks.

The six month and one year forward premia closed at 1.17% and 1.26%, respectively.

The spot rupee is likely to open in the 45.17-22 range against the dollar tomorrow.
