Re hits low of 45.64/$, ends at 45.47/$

The spot rupee, which hit an intra-day six-month low of 45.64 per dollar today, closed at 45.47 per dollar.

Dealers attributed the bounce to a rally in the domestic stock market and selling by the central bank in a bid to curb volatile movements in the forex market.
