Standard Chartered still in race for RBS Asian biz

Standard Chartered today said it has expressed interest in acquiring Asian business of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

"We are still a bidder... These things take time," Standard Chartered Bank Asia CEO Jaspal Bindra told reporters here.

RBS is running stake-sale process but it is at very preliminary stage, he added.
