Syndicate Bank Q2 net up 11% at Rs 228cr

Syndicate Bank has posted an increase of 11% in net profit at Rs 227.58 crore for the quarter ended September 2007, (Q2FY08) when compared with Rs 205.07 crore in Q2FY07.

According to an official release issued by the bank today, its total income for the quarter stood at Rs 2,155 crore as against Rs 1,595.07 in Q2FY07.

Its net interest income (NII) was flat at Rs 489.2 crore compared to Rs 484.58 crore in Q2FY07.

Other income rose 31.15% to Rs 216.4 crore for the quarter.
