UBS to set up IT, ITeS operations in Hyderabad

UBS, one of the world's leading financial firms, has decided to establish its information technology and information technology- enabled service operations in Hyderabad.

UBS is the first Switzerland-based bank and the first European bank outside of UK that has agreed to set up its outfit in the city.

UBS has decided to locate in Hyderabad after evaluating cities like Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

"We are extremely pleased with the decision of the UBS to locate in Hyderabad. The government and academia shall provide full support to them," K Ratna Prabha, secretary, Information Technology and Communication Department, stated in a press release here on Friday.
