Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources of Afghanistan Discuss Issues of Mutual Interest Including Expediting the Tapi Project

Minister of State (I/C) for Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan met Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources (also in charge of Petroleum) of Afghanistan Mr Barikzai in Ashgabat today. The meeting took place on the margins of TAPI Steering Committee Meeting which is being attended by Petroleum Ministers of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

The two Ministers discussed various issues of mutual interest including expediting the TAPI project. The two Ministers agreed to work together on this project.

Ambassador of India, CMDs of GAIL,EIL, ONGC Videsh Ltd and senior officers from MEA and MoPNG attended the meeting.
