Aluminium futures strengthen on overseas trend

Aluminium futures prices edged up by 0.29 per cent to Rs 104 per kg today, after tracking gains in base metals overseas amid pick up in spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, aluminium for delivery in October gained 30 paise, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 104 per kg, with a business turnover of 286 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in November edged up by 20 paise, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 105.10 per kg, with a business volume of 23 lots. 

Marketmen said firming trend in copper and other base metals in global market, pick up in demand at spot markets also influenced the aluminium futures prices here.
