Cardamom futures weaken on profit taking

Cardamom futures prices fell by Rs 11.10 to Rs 944.50 per kg today, as speculators preferred to book profits amid subdued demand in spot markets.
Increased arrivals from producing regions also weighed on the cardamom futures prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, cardamom for November contract fell by Rs 11.10, or 1.16 per cent, to Rs 944.50 per kg, with a business turnover of just one lot.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in December declined by Rs 9.90, or 1.04 per cent, to Rs 945 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.
Marketmen said profit taking by speculators at existing prices and fall in demand in spot markets weighed down on cardamom futures prices.
