Masoor strengthens on stockists buying

Masoor strengthened by Rs 25 per quintal in steady wholesale market today.

Other commodities continued to trade around previous levels in the absence of worthwhile activity.

Traders said pick up in demand from local parties and stockists, influenced masoor prices.

In the national capital, masoor small traded Rs 25 higher at Rs 2,975-3,175 per quintal, while peas white gained Rs 50 at Rs 1,925-2,025 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 3,600-4,150, Urad chilka (local) 4,400-4,800, best 4,900-5,200, Dhoya 5,100-5,200, Moong 3,950-4,350, Dal moong chilka local 4,800-5,200, Moong Dhoya local 5,150-5,350 and best quality 5,650-5,850.

Masoor small 2,975-3,175, bold 3,150-3,400, Dal Masoor local 3,750-3,850, best quality 4,000-4,300, Malka local 3,600-3,650, best 3,750-3,850, Moth 3,500-3,800, Arhar 3,200-3,300, dal arhar dara 4,300-4,700.

Gram 2,450-2,475, gram dal(local) 2,750-2,765, best quality 2,850-2,950, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,190, Rajdhani 1,190, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,200-3,800, China 3,300-3,800, red 3,300-3,400, kabli gram small 3,900-5,100, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, lobia 3,700-3,800, peas white 1,925- 2,025 and green 2,025-2,225.
