Mentha oil up marginally on spot demand

Mentha oil futures prices today rose by Rs 7.70 to Rs 2,163.30 per kg, as speculators created fresh positions on rise in spot demand.
Less arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil futures prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the April contract rose by Rs 7.70, or 0.36%, to Rs 2,163.30 per kg in a business turnover of 371 lots.
The March contract moved up by Rs 4.50, or 0.22%, to Rs 2,094 per kg in 267 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions created by speculators on the back of pick-up in demand in the spot market mainly helped mentha oil prices to trade higher at futures market here.
