Refined soya oil futures up on spot demand

In range-bound trading, refined oil prices rose by Rs 1.95 to Rs 655.60 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders enlarged their positions, driven by a firming trend at spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for June delivery rose by Rs 1.95, or 0.30% to Rs 655.60 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of four lots.

Analysts said a firming trend at the spot markets on the back of a rise in demand for the ongoing marriage season, mainly led to rise in refined soya oil futures prices.
