Saria falls on reduced offtake

Saria prices dropped by Rs 500 per tonne in the local steel market today on reduced offtake by stockists on sluggish demand from constructions units. 

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists on sluggish demand from constructions units due to adverse weather conditions mainly led to the fall in saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were down by Rs 500 each to Rs 44,200, Rs 43,500 and Rs 42,800 per tonne, respectively. Similarly, saria 16-25 mm traded lower by the same margin to Rs 43,300 per tonne.
