Sensex down 46pts; market breadth marginally -ve

The Sensex is now down 46 points at 10,820.

Wipro has dropped 2% to Rs 497. Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications have shed around 1.5% each to Rs 394 and Rs 265, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped 1.4% to Rs 679. SBI, TCS, Grasim, Reliance, Satyam and Larsen & Toubro down 1% each at Rs 799, Rs 940, Rs 2,115, Rs 957, Rs 747 and Rs 2,219, respectively.

BHEL is up over 1% at Rs 2,176. ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, HLL and Hindalco are the only other gainers among the index stocks.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 1,654 stocks traded so far, 894 have declined, 707 have advanced and 53 are unchanged.
