Sensex ends down 104pts at 17,387

Unabated selling in the market saw the index tumble to a low of 17,238 - down 264 points from the day's high. The Sensex recovered partially and finally ended (provisional) with a loss of 104 points at 17,387.

The NSE Nifty shed 39 points to end (provisional) at 5,153.
