Sensex up 54pts; Infosys, L&T advance 2%

The NSE Nifty is up 18 points at 5,067.

Infosys and Larsen & Toubro have surged 2% each to Rs 1,630 and Rs 2,977, respectively.

ACC has gained 1.7% at Rs 833. DLF and Jaiprakash Associated have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 684 and Rs 249, respectively.

Reliance Communications and NTPC are up over 1% each at Rs 559 and Rs 198, respectively.

Satyam has plunged 3% to Rs 423. HDFC Bank and Tata Steel have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,470 and Rs 772, respectively.
