Turmeric, jeera edge higher on stockists buying

Turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists driven by pick up in retailers demand.
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 14,600 -17,900 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also edged higher by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 13,600-13,800 and Rs 14,800-15,300 per quintal, respectively on encouraging advices from the producing regions.
Traders said sentiment turned better following rising demand and firming trend at futures, pushing up turmeric and jeera prices.
Besides, fall in supplies from producing belts also influenced the trading sentiment.
