Tyre Exports Up 22% Despite Poor Output

Although there was no increase in domestic tyre production, which stood at 35.8 lakh tyres during the first nine months of the fiscal, exports during the period increased by 22 per cent to 2.38 lakh tyres as against 1.94 lakh tyres last year.

According to estimates compiled by the Automobile Tyre Manufacturers Association, production of tyres for trucks and buses
