US indices surge, Tata Motors gains 5%

US indices rallied sharply yesterday, after mixed economic news had pulled the markets lower on Tuesday. While the Dow Jones jumped 81 points to 10,548, the Nasdaq advanced 19 points to 2,088.

Indian ADRs, too, registered gains on Wednesday. Satyam and Wipro inched up marginally to close at $24.95 and $21, respectively, while Infosys lost 1.33% to $71.23.

While Tata Motors soared 5.38% to $10.38, other floats ended with modest gains.
