Wheat dara declines in thin trade

In thin trading, wheat dara prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate supplies.

Traders said fall in demand from flour mills mainly kept pressure on wheat dara prices.  

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 5 to Rs 1,160-1,165 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,170-1,175 per 90 kg. 

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:    

Wheat MP (deshi) 1,550-1,700, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,160-1,165 Chakki atta (delivery) 1,170-1,175, atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 180, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 180, Roller flour mill 650-670 (50 kg), Maida 740-780 (50 kg) and Sooji 815-830 (50 kg)

 

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,300, super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,300-5,400, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,200-4,900, Permal raw 1,850-1,900, Permal wand 2,000-2,100, Sela 2,150-2,200 and Rice IR-8 1,775-1,825

Bajra 920-930, Jowar yellow 920-1,000, white 1,750-1,875, Maize 1,150-1,160, Barley 1,200-1,250 and Rajasthan 1,080-1,090
