Zinc rises in futures trade, up 0.76%

Tracking a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange, zinc futures prices rose by 0.76% to Rs 99.30 today.
Pick-up in demand at the domestic spot markets also gave a push to the rising metal prices at futures trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for August delivery traded higher by 75 paise, or 0.76%, to Rs 99.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 828 lots.
Similarly, the metal for September delivery gained 60 paise, or 0.60%, to Rs 100.10 per kg, with a trade volume of 48 lots.
