Boxing champs Tony Bellew, Andre Ward may star in 'Rocky' spinoff 'Creed'

Boxing Champions Tony Bellew and Andre Ward are in talks to star in the upcoming MGM project 'Creed.'

The 'Rocky' spinoff would focus on the grandson of Apollo Creed, which would be played by Michael B. Jordan, who's mentored by Rocky Balboa, played by Sylvester Stallone, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

The film would be helmed by Ryan Coogler, and will see the British champion boxer, Bellew, as the main opponent for Creed called Pretty Ricky Porter.

The project is scheduled to commence filming in Las Vegas and Philadelphia in January 2015.
