Lankan President participates in 'International Conference on Dengue 2016'in Colombo

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena participated as the Chief Guest at the inaugural session of the International Conference on Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever 2016, held at the BMICH.

The International Conference on Dengue and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever 2016 will be held from 24-26 February 2016 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo under the 'Dengue: To Stem the Tide'.

The technical session of the three-day conference will be held today and tomorrow, reports Lanka Page website.

This international conference will bring together renowned scientists, clinicians, researchers and scholars with a common interest and concern in the global dengue situation and will provide an opportunity to professionals in the field of health and allied health sciences.

 

The conference is organized by the Epidemiology Unit of Sri Lanka Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Centre for Global Health Research at the University of Umea, Sweden.
