Moyes forbade 'overweight' players from eating fries during reign at Man U

Former Manchester United coach David Moyes admitted that he had banned chips at Old Trafford, claiming that he felt some players were overweight.

Moyes, who is the current coach of Real Sociedad of Spain, said that he did ban chips, adding that it was because a couple of players were overweight and he didn't think chips were good for their diet, the Daily Star reported.

Earlier, United's former defender Rio Ferdinand said that it was a pre-match "ritual" to have 'low-fat chips the night before a game', adding that they loved their chips but Moyes told them that they couldn't have chips any more.
