Pakistan's Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called for 24-hour trade with India through the Wagha border, which is presently halted at three p.m. affecting the businesses of both nations intensely.

The CM said that economic relations between India and Pakistan can be strengthened through promotion of mutual trade and the process of custom clearance at Wahga border should continue round the clock as it will benefit both the countries, the Nation reports.

Earlier, the CM had called for enhancing volume of trade with the neighbouring countries, including India, with a view to facilitate the general public with sufficient food items.

Sharif also urged the federal authorities to look into the undue delay being caused in customs clearance for the goods meant for Pakistan-India trade at the Wagha border.
