Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deep condolences on the loss of lives due to the landslide in Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Modi wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The rescue work resumed earlier this morning at the landslide disaster site in Koslanda region of Badulla district in Sri Lanka. According to Sri Lanka's Disaster Management Centre, over one hundred persons are feared trapped under the rubble. The landslide had occurred yesterday morning following heavy overnight rains.
