Sri Lanka moved a step closer to making the final of the Tri-Nation series in West Indies after Kumar Sangakkara led with his batting in a 39-run victory under the Duckworth-Lewis method over the West Indies in Trinidad.
The Lankans finished at 219-8 in their 41 overs with the Windies being assigned a revised target of 230 from the same number of overs, where they fell short with 39 runs, despite half-centuries from Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons.
All the three teams are currently in the race to reach the final with just one game left between India and Sri Lanka.
