Financials shares rise

Financials stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Finance index rising 47.44 points or 0.79% at 6090.05 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Religare Enterprises Ltd (up 4.14%), Yes Bank Ltd (up 3.91%),Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd (up 2.46%),Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (up 1.84%),HDFC Bank Ltd (up 1.68%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Reliance Nippon Life Asset Management Ltd (up 1.66%), PTC India Financial Services Ltd (up 1.22%), Equitas Holdings Ltd (up 1.2%), Karnataka Bank Ltd (up 1.19%), and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd (up 1.17%).

 

On the other hand, Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (down 8.62%), Indiabulls Ventures Ltd (down 6.31%), and Reliance Home Finance Ltd (down 4.86%) moved lower.

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 141.38 or 0.38% at 37814.69.

The Nifty 50 index was up 20.5 points or 0.18% at 11195.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 25.27 points or 0.2% at 12783.39.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 7.77 points or 0.18% at 4308.49.

On BSE,653 shares were trading in green, 773 were trading in red and 89 were unchanged.
