FMCG stocks spurt
FMCG stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index increasing 49.44 points or 0.43% at 11523.58 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Waterbase Ltd (up 5.05%), Prataap Snacks Ltd (up 4.14%),Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd (up 3.92%),Godfrey Phillips India Ltd (up 3.57%),Avanti Feeds Ltd (up 3.51%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Apex Frozen Foods Ltd (up 3.37%), Som Distilleries & Breweries Ltd (up 2.18%), DFM Foods Ltd (up 2.1%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (up 1.89%), and Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (up 1.88%).
On the other hand, Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (down 2.72%), Mcleod Russel India Ltd (down 1.45%), and Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (down 1.05%) turned lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 64.96 or 0.16% at 41493.61.
The Nifty 50 index was down 23 points or 0.19% at 12198.65.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 4.12 points or 0.03% at 13391.25.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 3.67 points or 0.08% at 4689.84.
On BSE,634 shares were trading in green, 657 were trading in red and 57 were unchanged.
