Healthcare shares fall

Healthcare stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index falling 91.5 points or 0.59% at 15329.8 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Panacea Biotec Ltd (down 8.32%), Neuland Laboratories Ltd (down 5.05%),Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd (down 4.54%),Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 4.52%),IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 4.05%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Shilpa Medicare Ltd (down 3.84%), Vivimed Labs Ltd (down 3.8%), Marksans Pharma Ltd (down 3.41%), Lupin Ltd (down 3.31%), and Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 3.03%).

On the other hand, Shalby Ltd (up 6.5%), Fortis Healthcare Ltd (up 6.28%), and Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (up 4.95%) moved up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 835.05 or 2.55% at 33555.21.

The Nifty 50 index was up 251.35 points or 2.63% at 9804.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 137.27 points or 1.25% at 11112.43.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 67.87 points or 1.76% at 3931.12.

On BSE,1322 shares were trading in green, 981 were trading in red and 163 were unchanged.
