Information Technology shares gain
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 129.65 points or 0.87% at 14966.21 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Mindtree Ltd (up 2.88%), Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (up 1.75%),Hexaware Technologies Ltd (up 1.73%),TVS Electronics Ltd (up 1.69%),NIIT Technologies Ltd (up 1.63%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 1.13%), Wipro Ltd (up 1.12%), Mphasis Ltd (up 1.04%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 1%), and Infosys Ltd (up 0.88%).
On the other hand, Tanla Solutions Ltd (down 4.87%), Trigyn Technologies Ltd (down 3.42%), and Persistent Systems Ltd (down 0.86%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 61.94 or 0.15% at 40737.39.
The Nifty 50 index was up 4.35 points or 0.04% at 11998.55.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 18.38 points or 0.14% at 13427.3.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.85 points or 0.44% at 4719.4.
On BSE,715 shares were trading in green, 689 were trading in red and 98 were unchanged.
