Information Technology stocks rise

Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 59.2 points or 0.47% at 12590.51 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, NIIT Ltd (up 8.24%), Aptech Ltd (up 7.81%),Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 4.98%),Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 4.96%),Quick Heal Technologies Ltd (up 4.41%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were HCL Infosystems Ltd (up 4.1%), Infosys Ltd (up 1.3%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 0.61%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 0.32%), and Persistent Systems Ltd (up 0.25%).

On the other hand, 3i Infotech Ltd (down 10%), 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (down 5%), and Majesco Ltd (down 4.99%) turned lower.

 

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 37.38 or 0.12% at 30674.09.

The Nifty 50 index was down 19 points or 0.21% at 8962.45.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 90.55 points or 0.86% at 10474.3.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 39.42 points or 1.07% at 3661.62.

On BSE,600 shares were trading in green, 877 were trading in red and 77 were unchanged.
