Turnover in F&O segment drops
The Nifty April 2019 futures traded at 11,688.55, at premium of 45.10 points over the Nifty's closing of 11,643.45 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 5.82 lakh crore compared with Rs 19.94 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 46.75 points or 0.4% to settle at 11,643.45
Reliance Industries (RIL), State Bank of India (SBI) and ITC were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
RIL April 2019 futures traded at 1,348.80, compared with spot closing price of 1,340. SBI April 2019 futures traded at 316.70, compared with spot closing price of 314.50. ITC April 2019 futures traded at 308, compared with spot closing price of 307.40.
The April 2019 F&O contracts expire on 25 April 2019.
